Blood Quartet's new album, “Root 7” (subtitled "7 roots 9 shadows"), released on Foehn Records (Spain), Feeding Tube (USA) and Cardinal Fuzz (UK) labels.. An original musical treatise parting from their instrumental roots rock with trumpet base on a journey to far-reaching soundscapes with an alchemy of musical elements. An LP, more luminous and rhythmic than the previous ones, containing nine works in which the potentialities of each instrument give rise to new and unusual sounds and tones. Each theme baptized with the title of a literary work to add more roots of meaning, more shadows of influence.
Listening to it confirms what the legendary American writer and music critic Byron Coley has said of them: “Blood Quartet play insanely great avant-garde rock music”.
